Lace bobbins, weaving, embroidery, knitting, crochet, sewing... It is better to ask which craft techniques our colleague Marjo van de Kuit does not master?
As versatile as Marjo is in the field of needlework, she is also so in her work at Venne Colcoton.
A real centipede who can be used on all fronts within our company!
Thanks to her many years of experience with yarns and weaving supplies, she knows the answer to practically every question. Both customers and colleagues like to use her expertise. Another great passion of Marjo is to advise customers extensively about the use of various colours. Since 2005, Marjo has also expertly translated the Vävmagasinet. She will continue to do this in the future.
Even in her spare time she is still busy with Venne Yarns behind her lace pillow and loom. Every year for the holidays, Marjo makes the most fun Easter and Christmas figures. The crown on all her creations was winning the Weefnetwerk competition last year. She created a true masterpiece with a beautifully woven hat with bobbin lace elements!
In addition to all this, she also manages to find time for her (grand) children, friends, a good book, delicious cooking and travelling. For Marjo, a day should last no less than 32 hours!
Fortunately, she now has some more free time, because after 14 years of employment at Venne Colcoton, she is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement. We wholeheartedly wish Marjo her retirement, but damn, we and our customers will miss Marjo terribly!
Dear Marjo, enjoy this new phase in your life to the fullest! Nevertheless, we hope to see you often at Venne!
